Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life

Finally after almost 10 years the Gilmore girls are back! That’s right, Netflix is making a revival and the buzz is big! On November 25, of 2016 the wait is finally over, Stars Hallow is back and welcoming us with open arms. There will be four, ninety minute episodes and each episode will likely be named after the four seasons of the year. We will be returning to Stars Hallow with many of the familiar faces we have grown to love.

The ending of season seven was not as expected because the creator and executive producer, Amy Sherman-Palladino, was not involved due to a contracting problem. During the first season she already decided the four words to end the show. She has kept them a secret all these years and now she is able to share them with us. This is the ending everyone has been waiting for.

We will able to see how Lorelai and Rory’s (Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel) famous mother daughter relationship has evolved after Rory left as a reporter in the Obama campaign. Rory’s best friend Lane Kim, played by Keiko Agena, who was in the band Hep Alien along with her band mates, Zack (Todd Lowe), Brian (John Cabrera) and Gil (Sebastian Bach) will be seen in Stars Hallow also. In addition Rory’s old boyfriends: Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki), Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia) and Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) will also make appearances. Rory’s rival from Chilton turned college roommate, Paris Geller (Liza Weil) will also be back with her crazy antics.

Then of course there are Lorelai’s parents, Emily and Richard Gilmore who are played by Kelly Bishop, and the recently departed Edward Herrmann. Emily is at a loss and is unsure of her next steps. Fear not, Richard is not forgotten in the show. Now we cannot forget about the Dragonfly Inn which is run and owned by Lorelai and her best friend and business partner Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy) and their quirky concierge and assistant manager Michel Gerard (Yanic Truesdale). Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) the diner owner and good friend might rekindle his relationship with Lorelai this time around. It will be interesting to attend another town meeting where the town mayor Taylor Doose (played by Michael Winters), Kirk (Sean Gunn), Babette (Sally Struthers) and Miss Patty (Liz Torres) and the other town’s folk are able to have their say.

Rory and Lorelai are back together in Stars Hallow, mother and daughter, and best friends. The four episodes will take place during each season of the year. Stars Hallow is still the same place we all loved and wanted to return to. The fast pace of life with the Gilmore girls and their lively and character filled conversations are back. Get ready to see the town of Stars Hallow and all of your favorite characters. Sit back, grab your coffee and pop tarts and get ready for the much awaited revival of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.
