I’m going to take a stroll in the woods
Walk at my own pace
Leave a print in the dirt
And breathe in and out the hurt
Appreciate all the wise and unbothered trees
With not a single person in sight to please
Maybe I’ll see the birds take flight
Gain some perspective and soak in the moonlight
Throw rocks into the wishful water stream
Lay in the grass hoping it was all just a bad dream
When I walk back I will see the path I took
Learning from it not giving it a second look
