Environment Club

When asked what the purpose of the Environment Club was, Ms. McDonagh responded, “It is to raise awareness about improving our school and community involvement, to encourage students to take action to improve the world around them, and to find beauty in the most unlikely places.” It’s not about saving the world, or even saving an endangered species. The point is to make students aware of something other them themselves; to improve communication from person to person, then person to planet. The students involved are dedicated, enthusiastic, and love the activities that are held, like Bike Week, Clothing and Food Drives, or even just seeing the other students use the clean courtyard. With hard work and a responsible team, the Environment Club was even able to snag a Gold Status! After all, as Ms. McDonagh says, “The club is what the students make it.”
