The engineering idol team has been a popular and encouraged team to participate in since it was implemented in Richview. Each year a new challenge is given to the students and at the final event, which takes place in March, teams from across the board compete to see which team has successfully completed all requirements with sufficient amount of creativity and efficiency. The team often meets twice a week from January to March, under the supervision of Mr. Mehic.

Often offered to grade 11 and 12 physics students, team signups take place early to mid-December. All those interested in applying to engineering are given a spot first. This innovating and mind-stimulating team is an introduction to the world of engineering and exposes all those participating to all matter surrounding engineering and physics. The team consists of approximately 6 students, however more than one team from each school is able to participate.

The team has been very successful in the past couple of years, even having won altogether in 2010. There are no doubts this RCI team will continue to be successful in the years to come. GO SAINTS GO!
